Advanced Flight Course

Sport Pilot Training

Sport pilot flying requires a high level of skill, training, and experience. There are also tests to pass before you are certified.

Federal Aviation Regulations for the minimum requirements for Sport Pilot for Powered Parachutes:

    1. One hour cross country flight training
    2. 20 takeoffs and landings to a full stop in a PPC with each landing involving flight in a traffic pattern at an airport.
    3. 10 solo takeoffs and landings to a full stop in a PPC with each landing involving flight in a traffic pattern at an airport.
    4. One solo flight with a landing at a different airport and one segment of the flight consisting of a straight-line distance of at least 10 nautical miles between takeoff and landing locations, and
    5. Three hours of flight training on those areas of operation specified in part 61.311 preparing for the practical test within 60 days before the date of the test.

The Inland Paraflite Advanced Training Package

A pre-requisite for this course is our First Flight Course.

During your training you will be flying dual with your instructor, flying front and back seat as training dictates. You will be flying solo when you have demonstrated the skill required to handle the plane safely and perform all the specified tasks.

On satisfactory completion of this course, you will be endorsed to take the Sport Pilot Knowledge Test and the practical test with the Sport Pilot Examiner.
